How did you first get into DJing
I started in High School with a mobile DJ company! Back then it was just a cool job that I got to go to parties every weekend and got paid to do so! Fell in love with it as I transitioned to DJ'ing clubs and weddings in college!
What genres of music do you specialize in?
Top 40/ Country/ House/ EDM/ Hip Hop
As an old school club DJ, I got really good at blending different genres of music to be able to keep a dance floor rocking!!
What's your favorite part about being a DJ?
I love watching people have their "moments" during my events. The excitement on a person's face as the song they requested gets mixed in, the way a bride and groom look at each other during their first dance, the look of joy on Grandma and Grandpa's face as they realize they're the last ones on the floor during the anniversary dance... I LIVE for that!!!
Can you share a memorable experience from one of your gigs?
My oldest son has a BFA in theater and is a make-up artist. We had the opportunity to "Tag Team" a wedding- He did make up, I emcee'd and Dj'd the event. It was the first time he got to see Dad in "Performance mode"!!!

DJ Earworm, Tiesto, and Deadmau5
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to become a DJ?
Keep playing and experimenting!!
How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends in music?
Between my 2 teenage boys at home, and all of my cheerleaders at the cheerleading gym I run, I hear just about everything that's trending!!!!
What's your favorite venue or event you've ever performed at, and why?
It's a tie between The Gillespie and the Mellwood Arts Center!! The Acoustics are AMAZING at both venues!!
If you could be any superhero who would it be and why?
Aquaman!!!! I mean, who doesn't wanna look like Jason Mamoa!!!
If you could have lunch with any famous person- who would it be and why?
Meaghan Quinn (author)!!! I'm an avid romance reader and I've read everything she's written!! I'm actually flying out to Denver in April to go to a romance book convention to meet her!!!!! So excited!!!!!!!
When not DJing or working your other job- what do you like to do in your "free time?"
I don't get many weekends off. When I do, I just love doing the mundane "dad stuff"- watching my kids ball games, grocery shopping, date nights, etc.
