Meet Shannon
My venture into event planning began in 2006, when I started organizing corporate events for an IT company. I did my first wedding in 2016 and fell in love with weddings. I worked for a couple of wedding venues for a couple of years to get experience, and that is where I met Melinda, who talked me into leaving corporate work and working for myself. So I joined Bliss Events & Co and started my own wedding business in 2017. I have planned over 200 weddings and events and never looked back!
In 2020, alongside pursuing my passion for event planning, I embarked on an exciting new journey to support and uplift women in the technology industry, where it all began for me. This led me to establish RockIT Women, a company dedicated to empowering women and helping them find their voice in a predominantly male-dominated world.
When I'm not immersed in the world of weddings or helping women in technology, you can often find me at the gym. I firmly believe that a healthy body nurtures a healthy mind, allowing me to bring my absolute best to every event I plan.
Beyond my professional and fitness pursuits, I get immense joy from spending quality time with my loving husband and two awesome teenagers! Our favorite activities include relaxing in the backyard around the pool (although I must admit, I'm usually the one staying out of the water—it's always too cold for me!) and embarking on canoeing or hiking adventures.

This is Melinda Leach! Melinda is the original founder of Bliss Events & Co and is the person responsible for my career today! Melinda encouraged me to quit my 9 to 5 corporate J.O.B., take the leap to self-employment, and join her at Bliss Events & Co. Melinda has since taken a break from wedding planning, but I will never forget what Melinda did for me! Melinda taught me the ropes and most importantly she taught me how to have fun and love what I do! I encourage everyone starting out in this business to find a "Melinda"!
